Community life at KMS revolves around our campus on the Killington Road, located less than a mile from the mountain. The main building combines classrooms, library, dining room, student lounge, training room, and dorm rooms. Around noon, students, teachers and coaches alike meet in the dining room to enjoy a quality lunch meal.  The kitchen is staffed by a very accomplished Head Chef, an Assistant Chef and a third assistant to help with dishes and food prep. The food continually receives rave reviews. The adjacent student lounge is open for hanging out or playing pool during non-school hours and for quiet study during school hours.

The dorm is managed by four supervisors in residence, with the support of coaches, teachers and administration. Our staff ensures that a warm, family-like atmosphere prevails. Supervised study hall is held each school night from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The facility is comfortable with ample room for both study and relaxation. We provide all necessary transportation to and from training, racing, and academic sessions. Despite the rigorous training and competition schedule, all dorm students are offered opportunities to go to the movies, to the mall bowling or out to dinner on a regular basis.  

Group living, in and of itself, provides a valuable experience. With the guidance of our staff, our students learn to respect individual differences, resolve conflicts, and take responsibility for the care and upkeep of the facility in which they live. Students have a voice in establishing the rules by which they must live through student representation, although the premise of consideration of others and the facility remain paramount.
